Arrival to the EventEarliest arrival without additional cost is 8:00am on Monday, July 25. Plan to arrive between 8:00am and 8:00pm. All horses must be in the venue Tuesday, July 26th by noon. If you need to arrive earlier, please contact Joanie Morris jmorris@usef.org. Horses will be stabled with the trailers at the endurance venue. Zones/Countries will be given space together according to their number of entries. Parking will be organized upon your arrival. It is asked that you call Jan Stevens when you are getting near the park to be sure someone is there to assist you in parking. Jan's cell is 207-752-7952. Requirements to Enter Kentucky with Equines: Horses being transported into or through the state of Kentucky must have a current negative coggins test (within 12 months) and a certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI), also known as a health certificate. Out of state health certificates are valid for up to 30 days and shall state the location of origination and final destination. Horses with evidence of contagious, infectious, or communicable disease or exposure thereto shall not be eligible for entry. Requirements to enter Kentucky Horse Park with Equines: All horses must have current FEI Passport Horses who are not entered in the competition will not be allowed on the grounds. The following is a contact for boarding - both paddock and stall boarding with a mile of exercise track and room to school/ride. It is located about 15 miles from the park.
Entry into the Kentucky Horse Park All vehicles will need a parking pass. They are $5.00 per vehicle for the entire event and can be purchased at the entrance to the park. Opening Ceremony Requirements:Entrants should expect to dress appropriately for Opening Ceremonies. Country or Zone Team uniforms are recommended. Matching collared shirts with sleeves and slacks (or riding pants) are highly suggested (as per FEI rules, no jeans or shorts are allowed). You will be marching in for opening ceremonies on foot. Each Country or Zone Team will march in separately. Teams should consider bringing a banner to carry. Foreign countries should consider bringing a flag (3'x5' is recommended). Closing Ceremony Requirements: All riders participating in the Closing Ceremonies will need to wear riding attire - riding pants, boots, helmet, and a nice polo shirt or long sleeve shirt with collar. Substitutions Substitutions will be allowed up until 2 hours before the First Inspection. 4* - Definite entries must reach the OC at the latest four (4) days preceding the beginning of the Event. These represent the final selection of Athletes and Horses that will travel to the event. The definite entries may no exceed the number listed and must be chosen from the list of names on the nominated entries. After the definite entries have been sent in, substitutions of Athletes and/or Horses may only be made with the express permission of the OC. Horses and rides must have been listed on the Definite Entry. Should a 4* rider's horse not be able to compete, the rider may compete in the 2* with any qualified horse, with the permission of the OC. 2* - Substitutions will be allowed up until 2 hours before the first Horse Inspection. For the 2* only, substitute horses not listed on the definite entry may be entered only with the permission of the OC. No substitution of horses not entered in the event and on the grounds will be allowed after the First Inspection for either the 2* or the 4* competitions. Meals Breakfast and Lunch will be provided Wednesday through Sunday for all riders, their two named grooms, and Team/Zone Chef d'Equipes at the Kentucky Club.
